Manijawa

Manijawa rolled over in his bed. The alarm clock had just gone off. His hand gently slides off his wife's bare chest. He loves the feel of her skin on his. He looks at the alarm clock again. 5:14 AM. "Off," he tells it. Like all the days before, it doesn't obey. He grudgingly rolls out of bed and turns the alarm off. "Stupid clock." He goes to the front porch in his underwear and grabs the newspaper. He returns to the bedroom and finds that his wife is awake. He rolls over on top of her and kisses her gently on the lips. There is a glint of metal in the hallway. Neither Manijawa nor his wife see this. Nor do they hear the bullet as the trigger is pulled. They only feel an instance of pain as the bullet passes through their bodies. And then, no more.
